The Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) program provides technologies that help you determine whether your copy of Windows is genuine. Genuine Windows software is published by Microsoft, properly licensed, and supported by Microsoft or an authorized partner, giving you full capabilities, access to all the latest updates, and confidence that you are getting the experience you expect.

Are you running genuine Windows? You can find out now by clicking the Validate Windows button below. You’ll be prompted to install a control or plug-in that initiates the validation process. Microsoft does not use information collected during the validation process to identify you or contact you.

Most systems pass validation, but if your copy of Windows doesn’t, Microsoft can help. You’ll be taken to a customized web page that provides additional information including a list of options that may help you fix the problem.
